Some people have claimed that dogs have the ability to read human or have the sixth sense. If you feel sad or excited deep inside your dog can catch it within a second. Many dog owners always reward the dog as they anticipate owner’s emotions.
Dogs and humans have one thing in common, which is, they both have a strong bond between each other, also both have some complicated meaning of facial expression & body language. A lot of people from the past has claimed that dogs know how to decode our nonverbal language.
Researchers from many countries now believe that dogs & other pet animals have the ability to feel emotions like fear, anger, and anxiousness, however, they do not believe that these animals have the ability to sense secondary sophisticated emotions & own-self. They claim that these pet animals don’t have the ability to feel others emotions around them. So in the end, they came to a conclusion that, since these animals don’t have a self-sense so it’s quite impossible for them to feel sophisticated emotions like jealousy or anything else. A team of Animal behavior experts and psychologists from the University of Lincoln and Sao Paulo claimed that dogs can only show what they learn from the owner & other dogs.
What do dogs really understand?
Many dog owners become completely surprised because of their dog’s amazing skills to pick up our mood. Since dogs are very attached to the owner they always monitor everything that the owners do, & that’s how they can easily pick up our mood. They can easily sense whenever you are happy or sad. Also, an author of animal behaviorist Patricia McConnel once claimed that, your dog is a very good observer than you. Now another important thing is, we can’t see ourselves but our dog can. So most dogs understand the habitual movements, bitterness, and expressions of their owner. Some dog owners believe that dogs can read us like a textbook. Now the main thing is, most of our things are nonverbal, like gait, facial expression, mood, posture etc. Whenever you feel happy your dog is most likely going to wag the tail. If you become sad, your dog can easily pick that up immediately & will try to do anything that makes you happy. Even your dog can ignore his favorite toys and also the things that he loves to do, just only to make you feel better.
Our dog has an exceptional perception of human body language. However, sometimes many dogs understand people in a wrong way, people who are afraid of dogs.
Wrapping it up
Now the final truth is that dogs can pick up our mood & understand the body language of humankind, but it’s impossible for them to really read minds. Dogs do not have a sense of owns self.
